Senior Civil Engineer / Construction Engineer – Green Bay

Lynch & Associates is a growing multi-disciplinary consulting firm with offices in New Berlin, Green Bay and Burlington, Wisconsin. Our services include civil engineering, surveying, water resources, construction and municipal services. We are currently seeking a highly motivated full-time Civil Engineer I to assist current projects managed from our Green Bay office and help our team set the foundation for continued client and community success in the Green Bay area.

Qualifications and Experience:
• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or be graduating with a BS in May 2018; Environmental Engineering students shall have design work in the municipal water and wastewater markets
• Minimum of 5 years of construction inspection experience specifically with water main projects
• Ability to work with shifting priorities
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• The ability to provide overtime to meet project deadlines

Essential Responsibilities:
Candidates would be required to perform the following tasks:
• Complete various civil engineering tasks with final plans reviewed by a Project Manager
• Work under direct supervision with all work reviewed by a Project Engineer or above
• Receive guidance from experienced staff on task assignments as directed by the Project Manager
• Complete design drawings and specifications for municipal and/or transportation projects including water supply and distribution, sanitary sewer, wastewater treatment, storm sewer, roadways, and other infrastructure
• Complete engineering design calculations
• Gather and analyze project data and prepare reports
• Prepare project cost estimates
• Attend meetings and communicate with clients and regulators on projects
• Assist with preparation of permit submittals
• Perform construction inspection and administrative services; it is estimated that annually, 50% of the applicant’s time will be spent in the office and 50% in the field
• Assist with survey drafting if workload requires
• Communicate with project teams in both home and other offices
• Assist in any other assigned tasks in support of the Lynch & Associates team
